Dr. Kevin Krause

Hi all -

I have my initial surgery consult with Dr. Krause on Monday (7-21).  I was hoping to see what others think of him and I was also wanting to know how long you had to wait for a surgery date after seeing him in his office?  Any information you have would be so appreciated.

I have met him. He did a couple of friends surgeries. He's a pretty nice guy.

Hi Julie,

I had surgery 6-27 with Dr Krause.  I went thru Beaumonts weight control center, but once I got to Dr Krauses office I had a date within a week.  Good luck.  He was awesome.  He even came to visit me in the hospital on Sunday!

He is awesome. I have had 2 additional surgeries and he has done them both. The only complaint I have is that his office is getting very busy and calls are not returned back as quickly as I would like. I have had complications and he has always been so helpful with me.

Dr Krause is wonderful, he did my surgery 5  years ago and it saved my life.  I wish you all the best.

Dr. Krause did my surgery(07/10/08).  My PCP, Dr. Manhal Tobia, spoke highly of him.  He is a nice guy.  I got my surgery date about a month after my surgery consult.  His office is NOT good about getting paperwork processed!  I was on the phone with his office weekly and still had not received the paperwork on surgery date for my employer.   

Thanks to all for the replies.  I have heard good things about him too, but I was hoping for a date for surgery pretty soon after my consultation.  I have been told my insurance approval is a slam dunk since I have a high BMI and have completed all of the required pre-surgical testing.  I guess I will find out for sure in 2 days!  I am nervous, but super excited too!  I am looking forward to my new life. 

I went for Dr. Krause's seminar and had my surgery date (7/24) within 2 weeks, they even called and moved it up a day.  He is highly sought after and I understand that they are booking about 3 -4 weeks out.

Dr. Krause was awesome. I have had no problems with his office at all. Bree handles all of his appointments and she was super sweet. On the day of my consult we scheduled my surgery.  I could have had it the end of that week, but I needed more time go get work in order.
