How much water do you drink?

I know they say we should get in 64 oz.  I generally get 96 to 128 and some days more than that.  What do you get in?

Do you drink water or crystal lite or other?

Besides your water are you also drinking caffinated beverages?

For me, I get about average of 96 oz water a day, in the form of water, crystal lite or iced herb tea.  I also do my morning protien coffee with regular coffee.   Today has been stressed, so I am drinking an iced coffee besides that.  I already had 24 oz crystal lite and 24 oz peppermint ice tea before that.

Just tossing a couple things around in my head.  Thanks for your input.

Pam

I do NOT drink any caffinated beverages. Not unless I am somewhere and that is all they have. I usually get in anywhere between 96-132 ounces of water a day depending on how much time I have at work to down a bottle. I usually drink crystal light raspberry green tea. It is about the only thing I drink anymore. I do like berry propel or aquafina splash raspberry flavored.

Water is the one thing I am religous about lately.

OMG! How do you two do it??  Do you have IV lines?  It is all I can do to get 64 in most days. I get foamies off flavored water sometimes and try as much regular water as possible, but it tastes horrible now and it goes down hard sometimes too.  My goal is to hit 100 oz....  132??   That is fantastic!!

MMPC in Grand Rapids doesn't allow carbonated beverages at all.  Anyway, I stick to a total of 64oz daily.  Some days I don't make it entirely, but I come close.

I drink either water or crystal lite.  I like the Crystal Light To Go where you can make up an individual drink in your 20 oz water bottle.

Just reread your post and see you said caffinated not carbonated.  I'm a recovering Diet Pepsi addict and now I've broken that habit of Diet Pepsi with caffiene, I decided to just leave caffiene out of my life.

Hi Pam,

I dont get much more than 64 oz of water.  I get that light headed dizzy feeling if i drink too much.  ya know, that hyponatremia.  I do have caffeine in the a.m. but quickly switch over to water.

I ususally get in 64 oz of water a day.  Sometimes I do half flavored water.

I don't worry if I don't get all the water in.  Your body has different needs and it wil let you know what they are.  I just read an article that says that not every body needs the same amount of hydration.  I know that when I'm working outside at my job, I definately need more.

If I drink too much, I also get that slooshy feeling and just an overall malaise.  It's like I'm over hydrated.   Makes me feel pukey.

Great topic!

I struggle. But i think i'm "over thinking" as I adjust to my new pouch. I'm constantly thinking- Stop drinking 15 minutes before meals....wait 45 minutes after a meal.... take small frequent sips etc. etc.   Blah.. Blah...
I make myself crazy- then end up only getting 48 ounces in for the day.    I hope this all gets easier! Jenny

Being close to 3 yrs out, which doesn't make any difference, I've learned a new routine that works for me with "fluids".
I rarely drink carbonated drinks unless I let it go flat, and then I may have 1/4 cup and that's enough to cure my need.
I do drink coffee two times a day but it is regular mixed half and half with simply smooth decaf so that I do not get the full "caffeine".  I also tolerate it fine on my tummy but can handle a wooping strong cappucino from Starbucks anytime.  Bring it on.  It doesn't bother me at all.  It's a treat to have a flavored latte' or something once in a while for me.  We are all different and handle different things.

As for liquids:  I drink the walmart brand of SF kool aid in 4000 flavors - prefer cherry and fruit punch, can go thru a 1 gallon pitcher in about 2 days.

I also consume about 7 glasses of pure ICE at work in an 8 hour period.

And I also eat about 2-4 popsicles (sf) every night as my snack.

So I think ( I think) I'm ok.

ps. crushed ice with sf flavors are now available at Walmart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
