Tuesday morning..... I'm still sleepy...

Well, drinking protein this am and will have water all day today.... We are going bowling with the family and 3 drs appts today,....what a busy day...  What's up with you's?

It's so humid here this morning in southwest Michigan you could cut it with a knife.....ugh! We had rain in the nite, I vaguely remember hearing it, but I'm a pretty sound sleeper.....and the temps are in the low 70's still! Headed toward 80 something today. I hate humidity....I can tolerate the heat now, but not the humidity, so I pretty much stay inside in the a/c.....thankfully I haven't had to run the a/c too much this summer.

Have a load of clothes in the washer, figured I'd get them done early. Have a piano student coming at 9 a.m., then nothing else planned. I work three mornings a week, MWF, at a local bank.....even tho' I am retired, I like getting out among people. I'm a widow and it gets pretty lonely by yourself....my best gf moved away a couple yrs ago so I don't have anyone to do stuff with.....need to find a new friend!!

P.S. Christina, you are the same size I was when I started on the WLS journey.....it's so worth it. I feel GREAT! Have a ways to go, but slow and steady wins the race. Pat

I am just anxious to get this started.... I finally see the surgeon on July 30th, and I have ALL my papers in order and ready to go... woo hoo!!! Maybe then after the surgery the heat--no,  I mean humidity--won't be such a bear!

Good morning!  I'm sitting here drinking my coffee.  Not much going on today.  Hubby and I were going to go fishing, but with all the rain, we may just go to my inlaws' house for the day.  We shall see.  We love not having plans....lol!  Have a great day!  Tina

Hey, love the new pic!   I'm at work, starving to death.....I was late and didn't have time for breakfast.  The only thing that's here to eat is Resses' and I'm not even going there. Oh wait!  I have another boss story for you guys!  Yesterday my admin. assistant wore a halter top.  My boss (actually everyone's boss) waits until she goes to lunch and says to me "I never realized how FAT she is!!!  Her arms are almost as big as yours!"  Yes, seriously, she said that.  And I know she's not allowed to say that, but I have to keep my job so we tolerate it.  You can imagine what my life here was like before WLS!!! So everyone have a great day.  Those of you that are retired, be extra thankful today! 

You shoulda replied....Good thing she's not as ugly as you!  LOL!  What a piece of work!  WOW! 

I cannot believe she would have the guts to say something like that to you... how rude, whether its true or not is irrelevant.   I would have said "that's inappropriate." And walked away.   I met a woman online about a job and we chatted and talked on the phone, she made some inappropriate small talk that I always just changed the subject onto the job or the weather, and then we met and I went to meet the same day but ONLY to see the look on her face.   She was always talking about how "fat people just disgust me, they shouldn't be allowed to work with the public.  Who wants to look at them?"   So when I met her I said "I just thought you would like to know that I am one hell of a person and I AM better than you, being fat and all." Got back in the car and waved goodbye with a smile.... She emailed me and I just refused to even acknowledge it. She knew she was wrong and someone needed to put her in her place.... I am just glad it was me... 

Hahaha!  That is awesome!  I would have taken a picture of her face! The guy that worked in my position before me was just awful.  When people used to bring in donuts he would yell into the warehouse "hide those from Brenda, she doesn't need them!" and stuff like that.  When he found out I was having WLS he told me that I would probably die, etc.  He was just a horrible man.  Granted, he was horrible to everyone, not just me.  He handled all of the financials for our company so the owner didn't want to let him go.  I guess revenge is sweet.....he was here for over 30 years and the day he retired no one said a word to him.  Not a card, or a cake or anything.  When he left for the day we all just ignored him. I saw him walking his dog the other day and he looks terrible!  The Christian in me tried to not think about how pudgy he was or his now grey hair or his horrible complextion.  I will admit, I smiled to myself and was thrilled for a minute that I now wear a smaller size than his wife.

It just irks my chain that people think its ok to humilate us or to call us names... They obviously never were taught good morals and proper behavior as a child.  I am sorry that he said those things, they hurt so deep and the person who says it just don't care.... Honestly if they say it to my face I have more respect for them then if they say it behind my back... Be a man (or woman) and say what ya mean and mean what ya say.... just say it to my face :)
