Hello everyone, I am 9 days out from have the sleeve gastrectomy and my liquids seem to be a little rough going down at times.  I don't gulp and take little sips but sometimes it feels like it hits bottom hard.   Is this a normal feeling and does it get better.  Looking for input from others with their experiences. Thank You.

Hi!  I got my sleeve done thru MMPC too! (Dr Baker) Yes - liquids sitting hard at nine days was normal - at least it was for me. And every day it seems to get better.  Every now and then water will sit really hard if I drink too fast - and I am 5 weeks out.  Thankfully it only lasts a few seconds.  I am just into real food (weeks 4-6) and it is going pretty slow.  Eggs took a few tries - they are really teaching me to SLOW down.  I get sick if I eat too much, too fast or if it doesn't agree with me.  Either I don't have a 'full' warning or I am not keyed into it yet.  But thankfully I pay for my errors since old habits are hard to break and I can't think of any better way than avoiding having to lift the toilet seat and bend over the bowl.  Not everyone transitions hard, some are way worse.  I am losing slow, but at least it is coming off.  I am very happy I have my sleeve.    You may want to check out the VSG board for info too.   Good Luck!! And Congrats on your new sleeve!!
