Happy 4th of July to All! I'm three days post op and feeling pretty good. Drinking 64 oz of water a day is going to be a challenge! Is it odd to have heartburn after sugery while taking Prilosec?

Good morning Michigan and Kimberly, I get heartburn when I eat late at night or real spicy foods late in the afternoon. Other then that No Heartburn. I'm planning a bike ride and fireworks for tonight in Big Rapids. With the wife I think it will be fun... What's your plans for the Day?

That sounds like fun! Not sure what my plans are right now. I wanted to go see my brand new grandson that was born today. However, I'm running a low grade fever and have the hershy squirts! I'm trying to pound this water in. If I call the Doc I know he is going to think I wasn't drinking my water like I should......grrrrrrr!

Happy 4th everyone! We are doing NOTHING today. I love it. I was going to grill but I might not even do that. Do you think blueberry protein pancakes are a patriotic meal? Kim--I would call your doc. Heartburn, low fever and bowel issues sounds like it could be "something" worth checking out. I realize you can't call today but if it doesn't resolve itself by tomorrow I would give the on-call person a ring. Hope you all have a wonderful day...... Enjoy yourselves and your families and thank God (whichever one you thank) that you have life and happiness and freedom.

Brenda, Thank you for the advice. I called Dr. Bacal this morning. He said they are all normal issues at this point. Unless the fever gets over 101. I'm probably having heartburn from drinking too fast, so drink slower, but drink more cuz I'm loosing it! LOL
