anyone know of Abd Alghanem plastic surgeon?

hi all. Dr. minasian, my primary doc, referred me for my tummy tuck. can u believe it ? yay! ? but it's to a guy in FLINT. dr. abd alghanem. there's no info on him. i contacted the two people that came up in search when i searched OH that wrote about him. but they havent updated in ages and not even sure if they'll get the message. i just think if he was  a good plastic surgeon he would have a website with before and after photos and testimonials. but, there's nothing. and i'm so nervous and skeptical. does anyone know of a good reputable plastic surgeon who accepts medicaid and medicare? preferrably NOT in flint? i emailed dr. kayser, he does not :(  i intend to get my brachioplasty financed, unless by some miracle it will be covered. this is just a one chance in a life time opportunity and i obviously want the best results possible. any help would be greatly appreciated. thankyou sarah

He spoke at one of our recent support group meetings and I was impressed with his knowledge level and how often he does plastics on WLS patients. He also seems to have a very good working knowledge about which insurances cover which procedures --- most doctors don't have a clue about insurance issues. If you'd like, I can track down a few folks from my support group *****cently had surgery with him.  I've heard nothing but good things about him. Pam

hi Pam! thankyou for responding. i would love to see some pictures if anyone would be willing to show me. i'm sure the dr. has some in the office, i'm just so excited and doing some preplanning/worrying in my head, u know? i'm glad you've heard good things about him. the plastic surgery idea is so new to me. i would love to speak with others about him and their results. yes, i do need to go back to group!!! most definitely.

Sarah, I do not know him personally but do know that he is very highly recomended. He has done a  few friends tummy tucks while Dr. Obeid repaired their hernias. I'm sure that Dr. Minasian wouldn't have referred him if he didn't hold him to high regards. On another note, if you aren't comfortable with him, my plastic surgeon, here in Saginaw was Dr. Ron Barry. He is considered one of the best in the area. I have know him personally for 7 years. He belongs to my church and is comitted to helping people like us. He has the utmost greatest respect for what we go through and will do a professional job. Good luck and I hope I was helpful. Susan

thankyou for the recommendation! you Do have a point Susan. i really love and admire Dr. Minasian and i shouldnt just assume Dr. Alghanem wont do a good job because he's in flint. i'm glad you had a great experience  with your surgeon i'll definitely keep him in mind. thankyou!

Dr Farhan recommended him to me, and I have met with him twice.  He seems to be competant and knowledgable about what is going on. But what do I know.   He is board certified here in the states and Canada.    His office is clean with all kinds of info that someone seeking PS might want to read while waiting.  He appears to have a steady day without pushing folks though like an assembly line. I would have been concerned to see empty waiting room or having to wait for long period of time with lots of folks ahead of me BTW don't you just love Dr Minasian??  If I lived closer I would choose him for my PCP!  He took care of my day to day medical problems while I was in hospital for a month while Dr Farhan took care of the surgical problems.   He is such a sweetheart! thankyou for the info carolyn. i am anxious to see the office and meet him and see some pics ! :) i'd be concerned too if the waiting room was empty.  yes i love dr. minasian! he has taken such good care of me these past two years. He babied me in the hospital because i had a lot of problems after surgery and he made me feel so special. he told me of all the patients he had at the time i was the worst person something bad could've happened too because i was so sweet. awwe. he's very caring. thanks for the well wishes. i'm willing to check him out. -sarah
