I want to get back at getting more protein drinks in, and I usually buy Atkins in the cans, mainly because they're easy and I like them.  But it can get expensive if you are drinking more than one a day.  I know there are some good powders out there, but I haven't been "in the loop" in a while and don't know what's best tasting.  Just want to chose a good one.  What do you like?  I would like a vanilla one that I can add sugarfree hot chocolate mix or berries, etc....that kind of thing.  So...What's your fav?  Also, where can I get them...best prices, etc.     Thanks! HI Theresa, good to see ya getting back on track.    My favorites are the matrix cookies and cream, and the dymatize elite chocolate mint......i know you want different flavors , but i would try those brands, also i heard the whey gourmet was awesome too.     I always order mine online and do a search for the brands to get the cheapest prices cause it's half as much as if i would have bought it at a store. Hello Linda!  Nice to hear from you!  Thanks for the ideas.  I'll check them out.  I just didn't want to buy a huge canister of something, then not like it.  Maybe I'll try to get some samples again....I had done that at one point.  I tend to like the "less sweet-tasting" ones.  Some can be overbearing.  How often do you still drink protein drinks?  Just wondering what the going amount was after years out.  Thanks!  Theresa

Sorry Theresa, I gotta hijack and say What's up Linda!!  Ok, now that I jumped in let me tell you what I use.  I buy AnyWhey unflavored and I drink it in Swiss Miss diet hot cocoa when it's cold outside. Since I frickin' hate protein shakes, i mix a scoop with about 2 ounces of dannon lite n fit smoothie and chug that sucker down.  If you use a little whisky thing it's smooth, if you don't it's kind of chunky but since I'm slamming it I don't really care.  There you go, 2 minutes twice a day and you've got 34g of protein (in addition to your food) and you are done.  No sitting around drinking chalky foamy gross drinks. And no, Tina and Belinda, I didn't say WHISKEY, I said whisky, like a blender.

Hey Brenda, what's new with you?    I"ve just been busy with a bunch of crap.   One daughter had minor surgery in may (9 years old)    and couldn't go back to school the rest of the year.   My mother in law is driving me nuts so my pcp had to put me on anxiety meds, and i just started a new job as sams.     So i haven't been on the boards that much but will try to be better. Hi Teresa, I haven't been posting much lately either.  Lots of stuff going on in my personal life. But, thats another story for another time. I too have gotten off track but am slowing getting back to where I should be.  It is good to see a familiar face.  And Linda - I haven't seen you for a while either.  You both look great! Anyway, protein drinks - I like the Designer Whey Chocolate. Its ok and I can manage to get it down without gaging.   But, after reading posts from some of the others *****sponded I think I may try a few of those too. Hi Theresa, I like Any Whey the best. It's unflavored so you can mix in just about any thing you want to. Broth ,milk, juice, pudding etc. it doesnt min well with hot liquids.but does well with warm or cold liquids. Ilike to add 1 scoop with 8oz.of milk some fruit and 1 container of carb master yogurt. Iblend it into a smoothie. It tastes great and is very healthy.  God bless, Annette
