I will let you know in 4 more days!  Actually added some mushies to my liquid diet.  The surgeon was OK with it and the dietitican reluctantly said OK, but yesterday my cream of mushroom soup (not the supplement kind) sat pretty heavy.  I had tried tofu, cottage cheese (both sat hard) and stage 2 baby food meats (those were OK).  Honestly if I hadn't done it I would be insane by now.  I started getting (head) hungry Sunday and ended up cheating on Monday.  We have to use our surgeon's office supplements and I think they were getting to me because most of them are sweet.  I am not a sweet person and really needed something more food tasting.  The mushroom soup freaked me out so I went back to full liquids today.  I will wait until Tuesday before trying mushies again.

I am totally freaking out... I just found out I will be required to do FOUR weeks of liquid before surgery... I keep reading how awful everything tastes.... I don't know if I can do this. If I had that kind of will power I wouldn't be obese to begin with.... Any suggestions? What can you eat besides the protein shakes?

Where are you  having your surgery?  Four weeks seems totally insane to me.  Does your program let you make your own liquids and not just use their pre-made stuff?  If so, then it will be easier for you.  If you have a choice of programs I would look in to one that only has the 2 week requirement. Here is just one source of good protein shake recipes: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/06/my-fa vorite-protein-shake-recipes.html
