Small update on me
Hey everyone.. just a small update on here... check out the profile for lots more...
I am only down 136lbs since surgery... I'm at a stall and it is ******g me off!! I have to admit, I am not eating like I should be. I'm really angry with myself. I sure hope my 'old' habits die soon. I did not wait all this time to screw up and go right back to the same way. I should be down 175 or more by now, but OH NO I have to eat junk all the time. I guess I just need an a*s chewin to get me on the right track. I need to get in more protein and a key thing, I need to journal, drink more water and take my vitamins regularly. When I was pre surgery I would read people saying the same thing that they are not following the 'rules' and I would get pissed at them for having the surgery and not trying and screwing it up when I wanted and needed the surgey SO bad. Now I'm that person! I feel I have screwed up the whole thing! I HATE MYSELF RIGHT NOW!!! I have been in the dumps really bad this week. Thank God I go to my Dr Tomorrow to talk to her about what is going on. I have been ornery, *****y, moody, and just miserable to be around. I dont know what my problem is, but I'm going to talk to her and see what she thinks is going on. UGGH!
But on a better note, I have a honey and he is AMAZING!! I love him to death and has been the best thing that has happened to me in a VERY long time! He loves me for ME, and likes the fact I have some "meat" on my bones. He is just wonderful, and cannot say enough good things about him. He came into my life at a great time... Read my blogs and you will know why!
That is all for now, read my updates on my profile.. there are TONS!
Thanks for reading....
Jodi
Geez, Jodi, don't be so hard on yourself. Down "only" 136 pounds since surgery ... you just had surgery last October! It took me three years to lose 180 pounds! Everybody loses at his/her own speed. If you feel you are not doing the work, then OK. I don't know if you are or aren't. But that's a lot of weight to lose in such a short amount of time. I think you're doing pretty good. And your body will go into stalls occasionally ... it's called starvation mode. Your body is taking a break and catching up for ahile. You might notice you have lost inches but not pounds.
You and I had the same surgeon, but a few years apart ... I'm coming up on my fourth anniversary. Good luck to you on the rest of your journey.
Jodie,
Don't be so hard on yourself. I'll try with you to get those old habits to go away. It took us a long time to learn them, mine are creeping back in. Well, maybe not creeping, maybe sprinting back in. It's easy to forget the excercise as we feel better and look better. Along with the new food habits it's a totally new way of life for most of us. I've been at a stall for almost a year.
