So, Michigan, who is going to the OH event?  I think I am going from like 10-2, is this your plan?  Or are you staying the whole day?

YEE HA!  Is the POD returning you to your home planet?  OH event....you'll be so worn out from the excitement all day that we'll be playing dominoes for sure Saturday night.  LOL! I'm wearing pink, too, as always!  You better not have the same thing on as me...that would just be dorky!  Enjoy your day off.  If you find yourself in the Romulus area today, come visit me at school!  LOL!

Just kinda here, just got up a little bit ago, and will probably try to go back to sleep later... who knows... Its gonna be a rainy day though, good sleeping weather.  My sister from Saginaw is coming down to visit and buy a sugar glider, and then that is it......  Not going to the OH event, too much stuff going one as it is....  Have a good weekend...

OH...Sugar gliders!  I was thinking about getting one of those.  Does she have one already?  I have been doing some research and found that they have a scent gland, like skunks and ferrets, which made hubby say, "NO!" Hmmmm...just curious if your sister has had any experience with them.  Tina

She does have one, a male, an the males (I was told) have a gland on the top of their head when they get so old, and yes as a male, he does stink a little, but not like a ferret or a skunk by any means, I could hardly smell him at all. But she wants a girl, 2 girls actually.   She has a zoo, lets see,.... an african grey, Lola.  3 dogs, ****apoo, snoodle, and a affenpincher, 2 *****hillas, and a degu... but she has the money and the room and she spends time with them all... 

** edit here... The girls do NOT have that gland and do not stink... or so she was told by several breeders... 

Seriously, the females don't have the gland...hmmmmm.  I want one for a classroom pet.  I've just started looking into them.  I get tired of the typical guinea pig or hamster pet.  I have to wait, tho', to make sure I don't have kids with allergies in my room.  I've thought about *****hillas, too, but not really too much.  Where does she get the sugar gliders?  I may have to go there and check them out.

I would really feel horrible if I didn't tell you this, but they have a tendancy to bite... I have held 3-4 while working at a vets office and every one of them bit, an now my sisters bit my sister in law, then my mom... so as you know, choose carefully... BUT in his defense, he don't see the other people very often and my sister holds him in her bra and goes about her business at home... he loves it there, (typical male) but I would consider a Degu, they are so cute, they come from Chile' and look like gerbils, but bigger and have a different tale, and I never had one be mean in anyway...   But anyhow. She got the one from saginaw at ocean odessey and today she is coming down to get one from newts pets, in the Gibralter trade center.  Then if you call Critters, in allen park, they will get you in touch with Nancy (who used to own critters but now her son does) and she breeds them, they are 200$ each or $350 for an unrelated pair, from nancy. My sister paid $200 for the one she has also...  Just keep the above in mind with the kids at school.... *****hillas do NOT stink at all,they are great.... Coco, my sisters, is a funny grey brown color and is so sweet... I love him, but I like bonnie the degu too... 

Yeah....biting pets are not good. However, we've had that problem with gerbils and guinea pigs, too.  I wish I could just bring my dog to school everyday!  I'll look into the Degu and maybe give *****hillas some more thought.  I had even thought about a hedgehog.
