I thought I would say hello to everyone! It has been so long since I signed in and said "Hey there". My job has me always traveling and I very rarely get online anymore.
Traveling does present its issues with eating properly, but I have found staying in a hotel with a small kitchen in my room has made things alot easier on me. I have only been home 4 days since the first of February
, but I have seen some beautiful places in the US that I would have never been able to travel to before I got this job.
I also am thankful everyday for my weight loss and the many changes it has provided for me. I recently have been able to go snowboarding in Taos New Mexico, hike through a canyon and up a mountain to sit in the hot springs(naked
) of Spencer Hot Springs in Jemez New Mexico, lead a group white water rafting in Gatlinburg Tennessee, and I never flinch anymore when the flight attendant says please buckle your seat belts for take off. Some old friends came and spent my birthday
weekend with me last weekend, we were sitting around talking about how much our lives had changed in the past 5 years, when it came to me we all started laughing and said there was not enough time in the day to even start with all the changes I have gone through.
Life is just good ....I love my job.....I love being single.....keep smiling everyone
Be ever mindful of the gift we have been given.
Jill

Well - Hellooooooooooooo there stranger!!!!!!!
It sure is good to see you again and hear your journeys have taken you across the USA and allowed you to enjoy life so much more!
Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't Taos, NM the home of Julia Roberts her 3 babies and new hubby? I remember reading that somewhere.
All that activity would make me tickled pink! White Water rafting! And just being with people who seem to put a bigger smile on your face since the last time I saw you!!!
I hope the good times keep coming your way, and if you have spare room, I'll go too! :)
Not much going on here, same ol same ol. Work, walk, sleep, work, then eat, then walk then sleep. And it's funny how sometimes I run into someone who hasn't seen me in a while and they stand there with their mouths wide open ............I just grin. My friend who was serving in Ft. Hood recently now a permanent fixture doing something, said he was stunned........and asked how I did it. I told him, and then added it was quite alot of fun having a cute personal trainer named george clooney to help me achieve my goals. LMAO!!!
Stay in touch and have fun cuz you only get to live it once!!!!!!!
Great to see you again !!!!
Stacey

Stacey,
Great to hear from you too! I am not sure about Julia Roberts, but I sure did meet quite a few wonderful people in New Mexico. I would claim the southwest as the "new south", the people are so friendly, much more friendly than the people I have encountered while working in the south. Working on the road means many nights you end up dining alone, I actually had total strangers in Albuquerque ask me to join them at their table for dinner rather than sit alone, how pleasant!
I spent every summer of my childhood in Tennessee and after working here I am glad to be returning home in 3 weeks. At least the area of Tennessee I am working in I am not happy in. I know that the Nashville area is much different than eastern Tennessee.
I love all the activities I have been able to fit in on weekends, I just wish the people were nicer and more open minded!!!
Take Care,
Jill
