MMPC Dr. Kemmeter
I didn't have RNY, but I did have Dr. Kemmeter. He is a very skilled surgeon, and also cares about his patients as people as well.
He was out of town the day I was discharged from the hospital, but he called to speak to the nurse about me for about 15 minutes to make sure everything was okay.
The waiting room was full of people, and my name was the only one being called because he kept sending word out to my family as to my progress since the surgery took longer than expected.
I have been free of complications and have had a wonderful experience.
Blodgett has a dedicated bariatric wing, so the nurses and staff are all very experienced with our needs.
It was truly the best thing I have ever done.
If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me anytime!
How far are you in the process? Have you gotten approval from insurance already, or are you self-pay?
I had Dr. Kemmeter last August for my RNY. I think I am probably his oldest patient (I'm 69 now). He is a very skilled surgeon and a wonderful person - very caring and kind. It was a great experience and I had no problems at all. I was Medicare and BCBS and my approval zipped right through. He tells it like it is - so be prepared for some straight talk!
You will be in excellent hands with him and the whole staff at MMPC. Good Luck!
