Approved

Hi All,  It's been a while since I've had time to check in here. Just wanted to let all of my old friends know that I was approved for a tummy tuck, and a breast lift.~completely covered by my insurance. I didn't even have to fight for it this time. I have an appointment on Thursday for measurements etc. not sure what all to expect, but should get a date at that time. So has anyone had their p.s. done by Dr. Diane Lambie? Yeah Annette!!!  Remember me from the Denny days?  You look amazing, I don't think I'd recognize you if I ran into you in public.  So glad to hear you had no problems with your approval.  I won't even bother attempting it until quite a few years from now as I have horrible insurance currently and also am pregnant with baby #2 due January 2nd.  So glad to see you've done soooooo well. Hey Brook, I was just talking about you the other day. Wondering what ever happened to  you. Congratulations on the baby. How's our little lady doing?  I really need to update my picture. I must admit I really struggle trying to keep the weight off. I gained 18 pounds but have lost 12 of it. I have 6 to go. I'm sure I wouldn't recognize you if you were standing right in front of me. We should set aside a Sturday and meet up for coffee or lunch some where. What do you think, feeling up to it? God bless, Annette

Hey Suzanne, Whats up? It feels good to be back, for how long I'm not sure. They cut our hours at work (ouch) so I have a little extra time to play on the computer. Guess this would be a good time for surgery : ) I'm pretty excited about it. I can't believe I didn't have to put up a fight at all with my insurance co.  Dr. Lambie assured me they wouldn't cover the breast lift unless it was a reduction. She said she couldn't give me a reduction 'cause I'll have a small b or large a by the time they're where they belong. She said she would try to get approval for it and I'll be by the grace of God they approved me for both YEA : ) God bless, Annette

Annette, That's great.  I just went for a consult with a second plastic surgeon this morning.  This one is going to submit it to the insurance company.  The other won't submit it until I sign the contract.  I'm not sure that my insurance will cover the tummy tuck or not.  I do have a huge hernia that needs to be fixed.  I do need to lose 10lbs more because I haven't reached that hundred lb mark yet according to the surgeon's weight that I started with.   I think that I got depressed because of this hernia that has been very noticable since about six mounths out. Hi Jeanne, Sorry to hear about your hernia. My son's girlfriend's Had the same surgeon as you did. She has a huge hernia and they won't fix it because she hasn't lost enough weight. She has lost quite a bit, but this is so big I think it has really interfered with her weight loss. She really need to get it repaired, it has caused her to be very depressed too. So who is doing your T.T. are they going to fix your hernia at the same time? Best wishes for you. I'm sure you'll be approved:) God bless, Annette

Annette, I've seen two plastic surgeons One would repair the hernia and do the TT at the same time, the other would do the TT and my WLS would repair the hernia.  It's going to depend on what the insurance company says about what they will pay for, then the quote for what I will have to pay out of pocket.   The hernia will be covered by insurance, I'm not real hopeful about the insurance paying for the TT.
