Hello Ladies and Gents

Over the past several months, I have communicated personally and on a protein message board with Michelle, also known as the Vitalady.  I joined a protein message board to get information for the WLS support group I facilitate in Sault Ste. Marie ON.  But I have gained so much more (not weight...LOL).  Michelle is a very knowledgeable and generous person both with her time and information.  Many swear by her recommendations regarding protein, vitamin and mineral supplementation.  Together the "VitaCouple" have lost over 250# and maintained a normal weight for over 15 years through the tools of Bariatric Surgery and nutritional health. It is the goal of Vitalady, Inc to provide the nutritional supplementation, support, counseling and encouragement for those who have had or are considering weight loss surgery and wish to share in the reason for success.

Although I live in Ontario, I did have my surgery in Traverse City MI and I have invited her and the Vitaguy to join us there for a meet and greet.  The date of this is Wednesday July 2nd and will be held at the Munson Medical Centre from 6-8 pm.  I am the contact person for this event although I hope to have some support from my American friends.

Someone recently shared this information about her, "Let me tell you about what she did for a friend of mine.  My buddy lost over 300 pounds with RNY and then had a horrible run of tragedy in her life which resulted in severe nutritional deficiencies because she didn't have the money to do any vitamins, protein, etc.  Michelle had met her once at a bariatric convention and she somehow found out about all of her problems.  She sent her a humongous box of vitamins, tons and tons of samples of everything she sells and some full-size canisters of protein powder, all free.  This is a very generous lady and I am jealous of all of you in Michigan who will get to meet her!!!" I hope that you can join us for this really special event.  There will be a nominal fee of $5 to cover the expenses related to having the Vitacouple making a special detour into Michigan.  I would appreciate it if you could email me to let me know if you plan to attend this event and so that I can keep you advised if there is any change in plans. If you have never been to Traverse City, it is a great little city, has a beautiful beach, camping and shopping (well, for us Canadians, it is a great shopping destination).  If you need overnight accommodations I will see if any of the "good" local hotels will give us a special rate. Or if camping, check out the State Park. So let me know if you can come.  I look forward to seeing some old friends and meeting some new friends at this very special event.
