How long is the wait?

I went to the seminar in early Feb, had my initial consult at the end of Feb, got all my preliminaries done by by mid April.....and they said there is a "3 month wait"....from when? From the initial consult? From the time I have all my prelims done? Oy, I guess I should have asked! Now I am just sitting on pins and needles wondering if they forgot me. How long did everyone have to wait, and what event started the clock?

I called and bugged them at least once a week, so I didn't get forgotten about in the midst of their busy days. 

Of course, after I posted this I realized how ridiculous the question it is.....every office is different, no one has the same case load....but I'm going nuts here. I keep thinking, "well, maybe we should give this new _____ diet (fill in the blank with anything) a chance, maybe I'll be able to keep the weight off with this one." I've done nearly every diet in and out of the book, and am an expert at losing weight, just not keeping it off (no doubt like everyone else in here). I just am so sick and so tired (literally) of being fat and the toll it's taking on my body (just like everyone in here has or is experiencing).

I think I have the "McDonald's Syndrome"....I want it NOW and I want it MY WAY (isn't that awful....better nip that in the bud right now!)

The easiest way to get your answer is simply to call the office.  As them for a very specific timeframe.  What EXACTLY are they waiting on?  Are they waiting for insurance approval?  Are they waiting for the surgery schedule to open up?  Are they waiting for their insurance clerk to review your file?  What's the wait for? Go ahead.  Call them.  They expect people to make calls like this so I'm sure they've got the answer waiting for you... just call. Put your mind at ease. Pam
