This morning on MSNBC:
"China says thousands killed in earthquake
A massive earthquake struck China on Monday, killing more than 7,000 people in one province alone and trapping nearly 900 students under the rubble of their school, raising fears the death toll could increase."
My Conversation partner and exchange student, from CMU that I have been working with for the entire school year, Xiaolu, is back home in her city not far from Beijing.

I have no idea if she was affected by this earthquake or not, I have only email to contact her. I ask that you keep her and her family in your thoughts for me because it is devastating news.

Hi Stacey Thank you for asking. My family and I am ok. The Earthquake not happened in my city, but we still can feel a little because it was so big in other city which is very far from us and we could see the things moved. Any ways, we are ok. I am fine, thank you~ Xiaolu
