Introducing myself

Just wanted to take the time to introduce myself I am a newbie to the site and have been looking around, all this research has my head spinning. I need to have surgery and have applied to my insurance company and awaiting the nurse to call me they said with in 2 weeks. What should I be doing? Where can I find people to talk to about my questions? Thanks My name is Tracy and I live in Macomb County.

Hi Tracy,

Welcome to the Michigan Board. You have definitely come to the right place. I went through the same things you are going through last fall and this places was a great resource to get my questions answered. There is a lot of different experiences on this board and I learned something from all of that experience. Right now, you are playing the waiting game. Don't let the nurses forget about you and if you don't hear from them when they promised, then call them and ask.

Welcome and good luck on your surgery!! It is a waiting game so have patience and make sure you do everything your insurance requires so no snags in the surgery waiting. Feel free to just read or post with some questions you have- a lot of great and experienced people on this board...

Hi Tracy! welcome a board. LOL. cheesy that is me!!! i am 11 months post op from rny. i have asked many members about things i am going through. and they are VERY honest with me. if you dont feel comfortable posting questions, you are welcome to PM me here. but certainly dont be shy, CUZ WE ARE DEFINITELY NOT!!!!
