Well, I made it. I'm home after my Wednesday surgery...boy am I sore and tired, but I'm very psyched about becoming a loser LOL. The nurse told me to try to get an ounce of fluid down every 10-15 minutes. Since all the drinks on the liquid diet are 8 oz. plus required water, doesn't that mean I'll be sipping 24 hours a day??? The stages will pass fast and you will be eating again soon.... Congrads on the Band. It works as long as you don't cheat... So Good luck and Walk , Walk, Walk and get the gas out...

Andy, Don't worry, we do give you an hour off a day to sleep.  So you're only going to be sipping for 23. Just kidding!  You should sip throughout the day continuously, but don't worry yourself if you don't get exactly what you should right away.  It's impossible.  So sip while you're awake, and if you leave the house make sure you take something with you because once you get behind on your fluids it's really difficult to catch up and you could get dehydrated.

I figured this would be an all the time thing. I've found I'm not as hungry right now as I was last week. Randy, you're so right about the gas too. I had a constant feeling like a big bubble was in my gut after the surgery. It's starting to dissipate now. I gotta tell you guys that by coincidence, my roomate after surgery at Hurley was a guy just banded like me that lives 2 miles from me. What's the chance of that happening?
