Second Try at this...

Well I am setting out on my second try for WLS.  I was waiting for a surgery date in August of 2006 when I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant.  So, needless to say, there went that plan!  I am happy to have my daughter, she's a real jewel, but I am not happy to be fat anymore! I just failed at Weigh****chers for the third time and I just HAVE to do something about this weight.  I only have two things in my way...one is the support of my husband.  He is NOT on board with this.  And we are taking our girls to Disney World in November and it would be awesome to have the surgery before then and at least to have lost some weight.   I remember some of you from my last "trip" and it's good to see familiar faces, even though I didn't know anyone real well. Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated! Nikki

Welcome back. I hope all goes well for you and you can make it to Disney World AFTER surgery. I went almost 2 years out of surgery and walked my butt off!!!

Good luck, Disney is a blast in a 'new' body (course they're the most 'big' friendly park I've been to).    Hopefully with time your husband will get onboard.  Life as a post-op is just sooo much more rewarding. --Sax

Wishing you much luck on your journey "again"....  Congrats on your daughter and I hope all turns out well and you are able to have your surgery and enjoy Disney!!!! It has been years since I have been there..... I hope your hubby gets on board and supports you during your journey... I know how important that support can be..... I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a safe and successful journey....

Hi Nikki, My boyfriend was not on board at first, I brought him to the computer and we went over the OH site with a fine tooth comb. He goes to all seminars and appointments with me. It has helped him ease some of his fears to be able to ask questions and see so many success stories. Maybe you guys could try that.
