Got my consult date

May 27.  I feel like I can't wait a month!  I went to the seminar.  The doctor speaking was not my surgeon-to-be, but he was so cute!  I had a hard time focusing on what he was saying!  He was very energetic and you could tell he loved what he's doing.  I hope his partner is as excited. I just want to hear that insurance approved everything and I want a date!  I want to begin my new life.

I had my consult yesterday. It was fine. I spoke to the medical doctor and did some tests and labs. I have to schedule my cardiac testing and wait for the call for my sleep study. I will see the medical doctor in a month and she will schedule the visit with the surgeon if I have passed all my tests. I feel really positive about it. I am ready as well.

Maybe we'll be doing this about the same time.  My consult will be w/ the surgeon.  I had a sleep study done a couple of  years ago and I'm on a CPAP machine.  So I have the one out of the way.  I'll need the cardiac work-up and whatever else is required.  It just seems like the process takes forever!  If it took me a month to get an appointment w/ the surgeon, I can't imagine how long it'll take for him to schedule a surgery date.
