Three years out advice needed

Okay, here goes.  I had my lap band surgery 12/27/04 at MMPC with Dr. Baker.  Over the first two years I lost 100lbs (from 260 to 160) and got down as far as 145 (kissed it for a day).  I'm now gaining slowly and am up to 180.  I had a fill a year ago.  Problem is each month I have days where I'm so restricted I can't eat anything.  Then days where I can eat anything.  I don't always make the best choices, especially when I'm really busy, but now am trying to get back on track and eat well.  I have developed reflux since being on the band.  I'm thinking of getting another fill (I think I'm at 1.75 or 2.0) right now,  But not sure if it's the right thing to do.  Are there any other old timers out there with advice? FYI, I'm vegetarian, working on becoming vegan, generally eat healthy, but tend to graze.  Still, I never feel as full as I did the first year or two. Christine

Hi!  If you have reflux then you are too tight.  Have you kept up with your appt'swith your dr?  I know at TOM people seem to tighten up,  when that happens I eat light.. mushie light.. then when it loosens I go back to reg. eating. The reflux isn't good.  Please see your dr.  You don't want to be too tight. There is a lap band board here, not sure if you knew that. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/lapband/a,messageboard/board_id,5359/ Good luck with this.  The band will work and you can always start over with it, that's the reason I chose it because the band is forgiving. I'm not an old timer, but there are some on the lap band board who are 5 years out.  Good Luck!.. Nice to meet you!
