TGIF Coffee

Norning all....LOL  It is 1am and I can't sleep....I am a bundle of nerves.....so I am not drinking coffee now..lol Hope everyone has a great weekend....its thundering here now.. NIght or morning :) Shannon

Norning to you too, Shannon, It's 3:30am and I can't sleep.  Or, I was asleep and awoke a bit quesy to my tummy.  Had my revision tt and brachioplasty one week ago today.  Doing pretty well, but still needing the pain meds.  My arms are pretty swollen, and, boy, do those suckers itch.  I itch everywhere under my compression garments.  My back itching is driving me crazy.  The tt wasn't "quite" as painful this time, hardly any skin removed, but still a full anchor cut again.  Lots of revision needed to be done.  I can't tell how it looks yet from the swelling, but from what I can see, it looks great.  I am most anxious to see how it heals.  I have PopEye the Sailor Man forearms, it would have been nice if the compression garment went all the way to the wrist instead of stopping just below the elbow.  I found a fantastic kitty protection device.  I bought a cheap plastic lap desk at Michael's for $4.  I place it over my lap with a soft pillow underneath it.  When the cat jumps up on my lap unexpectedly, she lands on the desk instead of my incision.  It keeps us both from jumping on the ceiling screaming.  It also happens to work well as a lap desk, lol. So I am off work for another five weeks, watching Hamish MacBeth on dvd, and trying to sleep when I can. Debra M.

Hi Deb!! Take it easy after this surgery....i need a revision but not till 9/11...nothing major but he isnt happy with how one part looks.  I think its fine but if wants to suck more fat out of me- hey go 4 it!!! Sarah- yes my last day and I am having such a hard time- still have not slept yet...I just cant go yet...I have to head up to A2 to turn in my badge and parking pass.  It such a mix of emotions leaving- No party for me- I told them NO because I am so emotional over leaving the Program, my boss and our nutr. and the U..If I go in I will be crying all day.  Hope to get some this am and gonna head up there this afternoon. Shannon, you'll be fine.  I know you too well!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Morning gang!  I have today and tomorrow to work and then 9 straight days off.  Part celebrating, part sleeping in a deep deep sleep while some surgeon I know is going to make me more gorgeous.  (LMAO)  ---good luck Doc!!!  I'll be hanging out at the BFF's house in MC and watching frogs and resting and recovering and um, burning down the house?  lmao....(j/k Shay)    Best part of this is, I get to celebrate my birthday on the operating table !!!!  Gimme drugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  lol. I hope everyone has a delightful day and a great weekend.  I'm on the road Sunday morning and wont' be bac****il next Sunday so keep me in your thoughts because I'm under the supervision of one helluva BFF!!!!! Thank you!!! I'll be 22 plus a couple years LMAO!!!  Everything will be great.....I'm in GREAT hands and will have excellent care post op!  I hope to be back to work May 6th so let's hope that everything goes well (which it will) and I'll be able to start posting again in the morning for 1 whole week.  Then I start nights and blah........wont be getting up for any morning nothings!  THanks very much for the great wishes!!!  Stacey

Dude, You didn't even ask me.  OMG I am so hurt. I even had flip flops in the car.  I wore my Crocs to work today. I guess I'll just go shopping by myself after dinner.  Thanks a lot.  I guess I'm looking for New OHBFFs.
