any MMPC VSG's?????

just had a question....  im 5weeks out now and doing fantastic!!.... i know im down 57 as of 2 week post-op, although im sure its more by now.... i was wondering if you could give me a heads up on what the diet will be for 6-8weeks... im kinda diein to know..lol the meats are ok, but chicken still doesnt like me, i was hoping that would have changed after surgery...NOPE!... i actually went out for lunch yesterday and had a hot turkey sandwich -minus bread and the 3 cups of gravy on it...lol ....literally only ate naked turkey with about 2 spoonfuls of mashed potatoes....i have enough left for 3 more meals....lhaha just wonderin if you could give me a heads up so i know what to expect--or have to buy...i swear ive gone shopping 3 times this week... tryin to get used to the amount of meat/cheeses im having to buy...lol

hey there.. i haven't actually met any other VSG patients from MMPC. i have met many DS patients tho. i am wondering if you ask on that board about the nutrition, you would get some info? since the DS stomach is the same as the VSG stomach, i would think it would be almost identical for diet. i know of at least 4 DS patients that i have as friends and have talked to who are MMPC patients.  sounds like you are doing well though.. congrats on the loss and keep it up!

Hi I am a VSG from MMPC but you are ahead of me so I can't help you.  A DS diet is alot different than the VSG.   If I hear of anyone I'll let you know. Carole
