Dr. Nizzi - Grand Traverse Surgery

Is anyone else a patient of Dr. Nizzi's?  My sister had Dr. Nizzi as a surgeon - and I am hoping to have the surgery in the June timeframe - so was hoping to meet other current or former patients of his on the forum to get feedback and info from. Thanks, Donna

I did not have Dr Nizzi for my surgery but I do work at Munson and live in the Traverse city area and Dr Nizzi and Grand Traverse surgeons are excellent they have a great reputation and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking at having surgery.  I am looking at there office to fix a hernia that i have developed.  He is the cheif of bariatrics and has a top notch program.  Good luck with your surgery.  Tricia

I had my lap r-n-y surgery through Grand Traverse Surgery in April of 2005.  Dr. Slikkers was my surgeon but I have had some experiences with Dr. Nizzi.  He was the doc on call when I went into the ER with a bleeding ulcer and was marvelous.  Their entire office is packed full of very knowledgeable, very compassionate and caring staff.  Not only would I do my surgery over in a heartbeat, I would recommend any of the surgeons in their practice first and foremost.   I saw Tricia's reply to your question and I say the same thing as her.  I also work at Munson and know their reputations professionally.  They are top-notch!
