My day has come

No more 300+ No more 200+ I finally joined the ranks of all those people who weigh in the 100's this week...  Stepped on that baby and freaking SCREAMED when I saw 198.5!  :) What a journey.  more than 140lbs gone and it hasn't even been a year yet! What a truly amazing thing I have done for myself. Now if Michigan would just get hot so I could get out there and bike and walk and sweat a little...  And eliminate these thighs!  :)

Hello Ana, My name is Sueanne and I live in Saginaw.  I'm glad I found someone who lives close to me.  This is my first time for writing a message on the Michigan Weight Loss Forum.  I had my first appointment in Ypsilanti and met Dr. Poplawski.  Now is the grueling next step.  My husband has State Blue Cross.  Blue Cross requires that everyone who would like Bariatric Surgery see a Psychologist first and have a letter from your family physician stating that I've dieted six months etc.  Maybe you went through this prior approval process and know more about it?  I have a doctor's appointment with my family doctor on June 17th, but I have a feeling he is going to not do a letter.  I've talked about this with him before, and he doesn't believe in any type of Bariatric Surgery for anyone.  The doctor I had before him who is now retired felt the same way.  I have a Psychologist appointment set up in Ypsilanti for the other part.  So that should be taken care of.  Do you have any recommendations or know of a family Doctor that does a letter of approval for Blue Cross?  Please e-mail me at my home e-mail address: [email protected].  I really look forward to talking with you.  At that time if you are comfortable in giving me your phone number, I will also call you.  As you can see, I'm desperate to find help with someone who lives close by me.  It seems most people who are on here are more South near Detroit or Grand Rapids area.  Maybe I just don't know my way around on here.   Have a pleasant evening.
