Southwest Michigan LapBanders?

I was wondering if there is anyone in my area that has a lapband?  I have friends with RNY but nobody with a band.

Good to meet someone near me.  Has your progress been uneventful?  Mine has been very eventful but I am still happy I did it.  Do you belong to any support group in SW Michigan?  I am wondering if there is one in Grand Rapids.

I haven't had any problems since banding.. I'm a slow loser at this point.  I was unfilled once due to an overfill but that's all.   I am happy with my band.. very happy. I'm about an hour south of you.  My area is so small there are no support groups.  I had my surgery in Ann Arbor so that's kind of far for a mtg, altho I do wish there was more support in this area.

I had a hiatal hernia/slipped band which was repaired/replaced 5/1/08.  I am doing well but no weight loss.  We just keep filling.  I am at 12cc now and feel like I might finally be tight enough. It's hard to stay optimistic.  I lost 80# with my first band before this complications so it's hard to watch the weight come back.  Hoping I am back on track now.  Where is you city in relation to mine? I am 1hr directly south of Grand Rapids.  Are you and your wife doing well?  It must be great to be in this "together."

I am 1hr directly Northeast of Grand Rapids M-66 and us-10 And yes she is down 80lbs and I 111 lbs we just got back from a 5 mile walk..

Diane, There are a bunch of us in the Kalamazoo/Portage area with lap bands...... There are support groups, too..... deb
