Five for Friday!

1. What is your favorite movie and why?    Rat Race, because it is just silly and makes me laugh. 2.  Would you prefer to have on best friend, or several casual friends?  Several casual friends. 3.  Name a favorite song from high school.  She's a beauty, the Tubes 4.  Are you on my space?  No 5.  what is something that you saw/heard or happened to you this week that really really made you mad.  My soon to be ex calling me in the middle of the night to tell me he was leaving his girlfriends house and going out to do other things I hate......I do not need to know, that is why I left...LOL

1.  What's your favorite movie, and why?  Tie between Dumb And Dumber (made me laugh for 3 days after I saw it)  and Princess Bride (I thought this was one of best written stories and it appeals to all ages).  2.  Would you prefer to have one best friend, or several casual friends? Both, I have many friends and a couple of best friends. 3.  Name a favorite song from high school Anything by Prince 4.  Are you on Myspace?  (Add your link here if you want to) I got sucked into that mess too. 5.  What is something that you saw/heard or happened to you this week that really really made you mad  My grandpa telling me that I've come too far to eat a piece of lasagna because it was going to make me fat. 

1. This is hard because I have 2 moviesI would watch at every opportunity. 1.) Bridges of Madison County;  I can relate to Meryl Streeps character in that her life had become so droll and predictable, but despite her weekend fling with Clint Eastwood's character, she still maintained her loyalty to her family. 2.) Forrest Gump; I love Tom Hanks anyway but this movie proves that sometimes Ignorance -is- Bliss and the less you know, the better off you are. I think Forrest enjoyed his life because he was never capable of understanding it's complexities and his feelings were real and true. 2. I don't have alot of casual friends and spend most of my time with my husband and kids/grandkids.  I feed those relationships because I know that friendships come and go, and in MY life, unconditional love comes from family. 3. Ed and I went to camp with my son's boy scout troop..to Harper's Ferry, WV.  During our tour of the town, I witnessed one of the scouts pick up a cigarette lighter he had found and in a sneaky way, put it in is pocket.  I promptly reported this to the scoutmaster.  He approached the young man and said, "I want the lighter you found, please."  The kid turned it over.  Later, I discovered that my own son had taken a lighter out of our car and had been carrying it the whole time.  I made him step up and be a man and admit to the scoutmaster that he also had a lighter, then I made him apologize to the other kid for watching him get into trouble and not admitting his -own- guilt.  It made me mad because I had dimed this kid out and he got reprimanded, and to find out my own kid did the same thing....ARRRGGHHH....might seem minor but it made me feel about an inch tall.
