Thank you Shannon -- I am home now - it's 551am.
I ended up getting ahold of my friends Kelly and Chris and they took me to the ER. Chris went home ( as he had to work this AM) and Kelly stayed with me at the ER.
Call it a bowel obstruction. Fortunately, one that did not require surgery, but one that caused enormous pain, agony and discomfort. (that aside from throwing up all afternoon yesterday!)
I'm doing better, and obviously ok enough not to be admitted (which - was a close call this time!) and am home resting for the remainder of my weekend off.
Sucks to end up in the ER 3 times in 1 month. But with WLS, you have to be pro-active with your issues and problems- they can be life threatening as my ER doctor said to me tonight.
Thanks Shannon for caring enough :) to let people know I was heading to the ER and keeping well wishes and thoughts for me.

Patt,
tell me about it. 3 times in the ER in the past two weeks? but the first two times were asthma related.............not bowel problems.
i am able to drink liquids and eat again- small doses at a time, keeping the fluids in to stay hydrated.
had a nice bowl of twigs and sticks for b'fast this am along with a few bites of flax seed granola.........and so far doing ok.
minor pain still- I'm so sore I could cry.....but better to be home that in a hospital crying. I'm very lucky this time. ER doc said it could have been admitting/surgical.
Thanks Patt!

I believe the scariest part was not being able to keep anything down......and fearing the worst- a blockage. I've been through that once before. And it isn't fun----NEITHER was this but thank god I didn't need surgery-just some fun procedures and a few pills and a few shots of pain meds- my tummy hurt and still does from it all.
I'm resting- on sofa, sipping coffee, eating twigs and sticks and flax seed granola. Got a bad headache- probably from all the 'excitement".
thanks :)
