selection of Doctor

I am considering either Dr. Donald Scholten or Dr. Wayne Vande**** to be my surgeon. Can anyone give me information on the Doctors.  I underswtand that both are very good Thank you, Stumorr

Are they in the Lansing area?  I thought there was a Dr. Scholten in the GR area, but I could be wrong.  If so, I know someone who is using him, but I dont know anything about him personally.  I am considering Dr. Foote at MMPC in Grand Rapids.   I have had personal recommendations for him and I met him today at a presentation. 

Kellyhide, The Doctor is in Grand Rapids.  I went to an orientation and a support group, but I am trying to find  additional input.  So far everything sounds great. My daughter has pcos.  Is bypass an option for that?  I thought that since it was biological it might not be successful. Interested in more information. Thanks, Stumorr

i think my dh saw Wayne for his hernia operation.  he seemed like a nice enough guy, but not sure about WLS.   From what I have seen on the PCOS boards I am on, any weight loss can help and I have heard successful stories with WLS.  I am currently on glucophage, but not seeing the results I have seen in the past on glucophage.
