I got home yesterday... I feel like crap..  I want to talk about the pain? When will this start to go away? I never dreamed of pain like this? I dont even want to think about when its all over. I want to talk about helping it get to that point? Please any advice

hi there... i just got home on wednesday and understand what you are saying... dont wait to take your pain meds.... stay right on schedule and make sure you are walking... that helps ALOT and make sure you are getting in your liquids every 15 minutes.... i actually feel really good and am only 5 days out.... i get the drain out on monday... and am hoping that helps with the left side pain... other than that feels great. what are you taking for pain meds?? i am taking a liquid form lortab and it works awesome.... like everyone else said.. if you are not feeling good... make sure your doc knows... and get in the protein .. protein vitamins water and walking are your best friends right now... if you need to vent... feel free!!!! :) feel better soon kandy

Welcome home and welcome to the loser's bench!!!!!  If you are really in a lot of pain I would call the doctor... Make sure you are taking your pain meds as scheduled too, don't wait for the pain to get worse before you take them... That is the key to staying on top of the pain, but it will get better as each day passes.... Best of luck to you on your journey!!!!  Hope you are feeling better soon....  HUGs,

Pain is a little better ~ not great but getting there. I have been walking and drinking and have been switched over to the liq. lortab for pain. I dont have a drain so nothing to look forward to. Meds make me tired, I cant sleep in my own bed, I have to sleep on the loveseat setting up. It just sucks all around. I just want to get this behind me.
