Staring list of nearby PCP's who support WLS!

Hello All, I am just being prepared in case I'm denied by ins.  for my surgeon evaluation and my PCP won't help me appeal.  Just in case!!! Looking for PCP's in the Holland, Zeeland, surrounding areas who support WLS. If you could just leave there name, maybe a phone number and city, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

intersting question I know that there is one in Big rapids Monica Delany but that is not that close to Zeland, have you called your Surgerons office to ask ? When I had my surgery I know that Barix helped me with everything. Maybe someone can help give you a name ? You will still have to do what is needed, but they always know the doctors like you say support weight loss surgery

My PCP is Dr Eric Gustufson of Lakewood Family Medicine on Waverly in Holland.  He is great!  He is very supportive of my dicision and has done everything possible to help.  Unfortunately I am going to be a self pay because our UHC specifically excludes any treatment for obesity.  Even though I have several co-mobidities. Anyway, I feel you couldn't go wrong with him and he would be glad to help in an way he can. Good luck! Carole

Thank You all for the replies! My PCP ended up coming through for me.  His letter wasn't great but apparently enough.  I am pretty sure it was my sleep apnea and 3 yrs of medical weight loss that helped the most,  but his letter was important too. I am starting my scheduling journey with the internist on 1/15!!!!
