Post Op New to MI - Need to find a Physician

HI all, I'm a year out from surgery and at goal, but this past August I moved to Michigan to attend grad school, and it is now time to find a Michigan doctor to track my progress. In Tampa, my surgeon worked with an internist to do all of the pre-screening for gastric bypass patients and the internist ended up being my physician because she was experienced with Bariatric patients. I would welcome any suggestions or a recommendations for a Bariatric practice near Detroit? Thank you, Gladys

I don't know how far you are willing to travel but my Dr. Minasian is great.  He is an internest and also the head medical director for Hurley Bariatrics in Flint, Michigan.  His office is in Grand Blanc, Michigan.  If you are interested let me know I can give you more information.  He is by far the best doctor I have had and very knowledgable and takes his time with you.  I refer him with the highest of confidence.  Good luck in you search.  Patti

My surgeon practices out of Henry Ford Hospital on W. Grand Blvd. in Detroit.  There are two surgeons on staff in the bariatric program, and I'm hopeful one of them would be happy to take you on as a patient in the bariatric clinic.  The clinic's office phone number is:  313-916-9782.  Good luck!!
