I had my RNY done a year ago this october... since i had it done i have gone through periods where i have been unable to eat and the reason was said to be none other than my gallbladder.... i had it removed right before my year anniversary of my RNY.... now since then i've been dealing with much the same problems on and off... vomiting, diahhrea, dizzy, shakey, just plain sick.. the last two and a half weeks ive been completely UNable to keep ANY food down, only water is staying.. i went to the emergency room and they said my potassium was dangerously low and gave me a few pills for that... does anyone have ANY idea what i can do to keep myself alive here?.. i feel terrible, i dont even have the strength to leave the house anymore... and worst of all, people are actually commenting to me that i am too skinny now and i look unhealthy... i went from 283 lbs to 105lbs at 5"4 inches tall... PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :/

Katie, You know you're going to have to call your doc.  If you can't follow up with your original surgeon, then find one of ours to help you out.  Are you still covered under insurance? There are a lot of things it could be, so you need to find out right away.  And yes, I agree that 105 is too skinny!   Don't think that it will resolve itself on it's own, it does not sound like it will.  Being as young as you are, please take the symptoms seriously so it doesn't have any long term effect on you.

I agree you need to call your bariatric surgeon asap.  What ever it is needs medical attention and the sooner the better of course.  I hope that all goes well for you and soon.  An internest usually is very thorough in their quest, so that may be another option if you dont get immediate answers and action from your bariatric surgeon.

DON'T FOOL AROUND, CALL YOUR SURGEON!  I recently had a problem and it turned out to be a partial bowl obstruction.  I had symptoms similar to yours.  I had my LAP RNY Oct. 2006.  Luckily I only hesitated going to the Dr. a couple of months because it could of turned into something life threatening.  Dr. did a Lap. and fixed the problem and I was in the hospital 24hrs.  And now 1 month later I feel great and no more pain and my appetite is back to normal.  (Normal for a bartaric patient). LISTEN TO YOUR BODY! Take care and God Bless..............Kathy A.
