I got a letter in the mail from my sleep Dr. stating my sleep study showed sleep-disordered breathing.  My follow up appt. is 1/2... Has anyone ever been diagnosed with this? Did it help in WLS approval? Thanks,

Laura

I got the same letter from the sleep clinic after my first sleep study. It means your sleep test was abnormal and you probably have sleep apnea. It will help you get approved b/c it is one of the co-morbid conditions PH recognizes. I hope it helps!! Good luck Laura! Cathi

I had my sleep study last week and the sleep Dr reported the same findings.  So I need to go for another test next week.  Aree you scheduled for another test?

Thanks for the input! I was hoping that "sleep disordered breathing" was a form of apnea so it would help with PH authorization. You are all great!

More importantly it is the diagnosis itself.  Take this seriously!  Obstructive sleep apnea has been related to heart attacks, daytime sleepiness.  When you start using your CPAP, keep it up.
