Plastics with Dr. DiNick, Dec 10th
Thank you all who contribute to the MI forum. I am always lurking and learning from this area. Last year, so many of you helped me through some serious health issues and the death of my father. Thank you all so much! I have been busy in school. I begin the nursing program in Jan. I was lucky enough to schedule a tummy tuck during my fall and winter break. Dr. DiNick will be working his magical fingers on me next week. I am so excited. I am nervous also. I think my biggest fear is staying at a hospital I do not know at all. I am not sure about Providence because I have never heard of it before. I would love any hints and feedback. Shoot just well wishes are great too. Positive vibes Megan
I have been reading about your process this whole time. I am so curious to see what you look like. I think you sound like you are doing a great job with your recovery. I hope I follow along the same timeline as you.
The drain tubes are the one thing which could have kept me from doing this but you are doing great having one left with just over two weeks out.
I know we are all different, my own personal goal is three weeks for them all to be out. I will however follow Dr. DiNick's instructions.
How much are you moving around. Are you doing more than you should be? I bet it is hard to not do things, really?
Thanks for the kind words
Megan
Shannon, was your surgery done at Providenence Hospital? I am curious to what the hospital is like. My husband wants to stay with me. Some places will allow but others are horrible abot overnight visitors. If they were smart though they would grab him a chair because he will take care of me. If he leaves then leaves them more work to do.
If you stayed there, can you give me an idea what it was like, please?
Megan
I have to go to Providence because that is where Dr. DiNick is doing the surgery. I am going wherever he goes lol. If I had a choice, I would rather it be at the surgical center. I just have to show where they tell me. My email is [email protected]. I would love pics. Thank you so much for sharing.
Good to see you Megan --
As for Dr. DiNick, I had my work done by him also and he is truly amazing. A sculptor if you will.
Remember to follow his instructions to the letter and take time off that you need so you can heal. You are in amazing hands and I am sure you will be pleased!!!
Keep us posted on how you do ok?
Best wishes!

Stacey, I am so excited. I believe I chose the best surgeon. He is really nice, too. I even took home some paperwork for some of my coworkers who are interested in having plastics done.
See I hate to travel, and they know if I am willing to travel two hours then he must be real good. Plus, they know I research. I could not find anything negative about Dr. Dinick.
I would love to find out some info about Providence Hospital. Where did you stay when you had your surgery?
I will only do what Dr. DiNick says and nothing else. He is the boss. Even though he already said I can use the treadmill ti all drains are out.
Positive vibes

Megan,
I had my surgeries done at Barix in Ypsi. It's closer for me to go there than Southfield.
Both he & Dr. Vayntrub work out of Barix and Providence. I don't know much about it but you can check it out online :

Best of luck to you and I can't wait to hear how you are!!!
