Help ease my mind please!

Has anyone else had a problem with a partiall bowel obstruction? I had a CT scan done last week and that is what the results were. I went to see my WL surgeon yesterday and he's making arrangements to take care of the problem. He did ease my mind somewhat but going into surgery again is a worry.

Kathy, Keep me posted. I never had that problem but I think that it's fairly common due to adhesions from abdominal surgery. Call me if you want. I'm on vacation all week so I should be home. Jeanne

Thanks Jeanne, Hope you have a good vacation. Dr. Wood did ease my mind on Fri, he's going to do this LAP and hopefully it won't be to serious. His staff is suppose to set this up for this coming week sometime and let me know when. Thank goodness I have my Christmas shopping done and wrapped so I won't have that to worry about. Oh by the way Jeanne I have a pair of gloves of yours that you left in the pocket of the jacket you gave me. Hopefully I can get them to you soon. Will talk with you soon and let you know what's going on. Oh Dr. Taylor rushed me into emerengcy at Harper (in all that rain)last monday because of this. All they did was blood work, urine analysis, and a x-ray, my vitals were good so they sent me back home.

Kathy A, I have been living with a narrowing or Partial Bowel obstruction for over 2 years. I am not have any problems with it but a little pain now and then. My surgeon is jus****ching it. I do have to report any nausea, Vomiting, bloating and such though. CArla Klein

I had a bowel obstruction about two years ago, I went to the emergery room at the local hospital, I was having terrible pains in my stomach, I wanted to throw up but I couldn't, they did xray and CAT scan to determined that I had a bowel obstruction. I had surgery about 8 hr later and I was throwing up before surgery from drinking the stuff they give me for a CAT scan. I had more surgery done by a doctor who does RNY, he didn't do my RNY, Dr Wood did. My surgery was open, he went into the scar where my tummy tuck was done. When the dr did my surgery he did not do a good job and I no longer had my tummy tuck. I didn't have any problem after the surgery. Good luck to you Jackie

What are the symptoms, please? I stay constipated and it seems to takes sticks of dynamite to get results. I drink tons of water, eat veggies, fruit, so I do not understand...Sometimes it is daysssss.I get so uncomfortable and end up with a sore mid section...Can someone advise? Dr. Woods did my surgery too... P.S. I am 5 years out....
