MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!

I know that Hurley Bariatric Center in Flint, MI accepts Medicaid.  Their number is 866-750-4111

I'll give Hurley a try again. I contacted them by email like year ago and I was told they do not accept Midwest medicaid because it was out of there district/region but they told me to come in for info seminar anyway.  I have been able to get waivers to see doctors/specialist anywhere as long as I have a referal.  I don't understand why there's jurisdictional regions on surgeons?

I also talked to the U of M bariatric department on the phone and they outright said they would not deal with my insurance.

Thank God I saw this I was starting to get discouraged for my family member as this is where she has her consultation tomorrow morning. Thank you for the post

I am wondering how I would go about getting started-  I currently have the Adult Medical Waiver form of health insurance along with my county health plan.  Do I have to go through my personal dr and get referrals, or what? I am at the end of my rope (so to speak..lol) and with limited funds and increading medical problems, I'm not sure where to turn.   Does anyone know what I should do?  I'm in the Flint area, willing to drive just about anywhere in MI at this point. My mother had the Roun-Y and it was so sucessful for her, I want it too.   Thank you-     BK

I'm not even sure if I have the right insurance!  And do you have to do something like Weigh****chers for a year??

I have some medical problems that could be solved 100% with this surgery, and a year could just be another pain in the back...literally. 

 

Did you go through Hurley?

I live in Metro Detroit and drove to Muskegon. Mercy Hosp did my surgery...Dr Gluck...I had Molina through Medicade and it was covered....
