MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!

Hello Members,

On a daily basis we get calls from members in desperate need of surgeons that will accept Medicaid and or Medicare for Bariatric surgery.  It breaks our hearts when we have to say "we don't know of any surgeons in your state we can refer you to". 

Can you please help us? If you know of any surgeons in your state that accepts Medicaid and or Medicare, will you list their:

Dr Steven Hendrick, M.d. The Bariatric Surgery Center 3333 Biddle Ave., Suite C Wyandotte, MI 48192 734 285-7420 I just love this Dr as he is very open and to the point.  He tells it like it is and will give you a big hug when needed.  Waiting on my surgery date, had a consultation on Dec 6, 2007 and looking to do surgery mid January.  He gives you a lot of information to read and his staff is just great. I just attempted to go through Dr. Hendrick.  I went through the seminar, filled out all the paperwork, got my lab work done, then was told that Medicare doesn't work with Henry Ford Wyandotte. 

If this isn't correct, please let me know as I'd love to have Dr. Hendrick be my doctor.

wow at his seminar he said he will except medicare but it is up to medicare to except him I guess. Just like hap does not cover any weight loss threw Henry ford wyandotte. I would call medicare and ask them why they will not do business with wyandotte.

i would like to know if dr. taylor is doing the stomaphyX and if medicare will pay for it.
