Question for any MMPC'ers

I am wondering if anyone knows whether or not Dr. Baker does the sleeve surgery?? I am meeting with him this coming Wednesday, but I heard he doesn't even do this procedure?? I am worried that if he does not do this procedure, I'll have to wait another month to meet w/ a surgeon who does. :-/ I am confused...thanks for any input.

Last I had heard, Dr. Baker was not doing the sleeve.  Both Dr. Kemmeter and Dr. Foote do it so maybe you won't have to wait too long.  Jenn

If you are really set on have the sleeve surgery I would suggest calling MMPC and asking if Dr. Baker does that procedure or not.  If he doesn't ask to switch right then - that way you won't waste yours or his time. By they way - Dr. Baker is scheduling out further than Dr. Foote.

Thank you all for the responses! I found out that Dr. Baker CAN do the sleeve, but doesn't usually do it. So I changed surgeons to Dr. Foote, and I meet with him on 12/6!!

OH I am so happy you changed to Dr Foote.. You will not regret it!!  He is the best.. .IMHO!! Its funny.. I just went in or my 6 week appointment and and they geared our paper work around Dr Foote's patients.  WHen he does the sleeve, he makes them extra small so they warn all Dr Foote's patients to EAT EXTREMLY SLOW!!  It says that right on our booklet papers.  :O)

Dr Foote was my surgeon and I loved him.  I'm sure you will too.

Dr  Baker sprung me this AM from the hospital, and he told me he does do the sleeve, but not DS.  There is a poster, mich_girl (I think is her screenname) had him do her sleeve on the 13th of November.  She posts on the sleeve sight.  I know they don't keep up the stats on the information page, because is says Foote has only done 3 and Kemmeter has done 10.  I know they have both done many more. BTW, I am very happy with Dr Kemmeter!! Martha
