Hi All! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to combat headhunger? I am doing well with the weight loss, but have fallen off the wagon a couple of times.

There has to be a way people handle this mentally....could you please share any tricks you may have.  You guyz have such great ideas! Thanks.

I try to think of other things.. when that did not work I would eat something that would not make me feel guilty. A protein bar, veggies or fruit.

I also journal my thoughts, or find something to do to keep my head active and not think about the hunger that I am facing. In the summer, I go in the garden or ride my bike. Winter is much harder.

Hope it helps.

Thanks Suzanne, I appreciate the ideas.  I know I can do it.....I just can have those trigger foods around the house.  What  I did was bring a bag of soy chips to work.  I should know better.  I like them too much.  Instead of just bringing a serving...I tempted myself...and fell into the bag...literally!  I have learned a lesson.  In fact, I don't think I'm even going to buy them..... I need to journal....might see a pattern there. Thanks.

Like Suzanne said, try to get busy with other things. Just before my surgery was Easter, I made everyone in my family a handmade Easter card just to keep my hands and mind occupied. In the winter I make small sewing projects as gifts to accomplish the same thing. I have done some writing and journaling to stave off the beast too. Again like Suzanne suggested if it just will not go away try having something that you will not feel guilty about eating( again, protein bar, fruit, veggies, nuts, healthy popped popcorn in moderation, s/f popsicle, s/f hot chocolate in the blender with a  cup or so of hot milk, small cup of coffee and pumpkin pie spice). It becomes a yummy latte like hot drink, sometimes I add a scoop of protein to it.                                             Keep after that nasty beast, you will win in the end.                                                Merry Christmas, Phyllis
