How long between approval and date scheduling?
Mine all happened on the same day.
BCBS doesn't actually require pre-approval, so once the surgeon's office determined I'd met all the requirements, they "deemed" me approved. As soon as that happened, I got a call from Hurley to schedule my surgery, schedule pre-op testing and schedule my nutrition class.
Not sure how Barix works though. Good luck,
Pam

Don't know if it matter's which type of surgery your having or not Heather, but when I was there (@ Barix) last Friday and talked to Doc Schram he told me once insurance approved it..... it would be "about" 3-4 weeks for surgery. Not too bad, but long enough when you have the go ahead huh?
Congradulations---- hope it's soooooon!

I heard from Tracy, the Group Practice Nurse at Barix in Ypsi, yesterday. Looks like they're scheduling into January now. DARN IT!!!!!! I was totally counting on this being done before the end of the year.
But hey - I've been approved and this surgery's gonna happen on God's timetable... not mine! (When will I ever learn that lesson? ) Still don't have a date, but Tracy said I should hear by the end of the week.
