Annoying!!
Wanna know what is really annoying???? THESE DRAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My TT was 9 days ago and I have 4 drains. I am sooooooooo annoyed by them....they look like I have 4 balls and they are shaped like hand grenades
I hope to get some out next week.....once they are out I will feel so much better- I am so worried I am going to pull them out by accident and they get in the way....
OK- done complaining :)
Shannon

Hey......I know how annoying those things are! I've had 7 of them in the past 17 months!!! There are a few reasons why we have to have them post op: (if it's any help)
Why do you need JP Drains? The squeeze bulb on the end of the drain tube creates a gentle suction. This helps to get the fluid (usually blood) out of your incision faster. Caregivers put a JP drain in your wound when they expect a larger amount of drainage. A JP drain helps your incision heal faster. It may also help prevent you from getting a bad infection.
Also, you can look at it this way:
WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE THAT APRON BACK (THE PANNI) OR....A FEW DRAINS FOR A WEEK OR TWO???
I know it sucks...I know it's annoying, but you are doing so great that I'm sure you will have them out very very soon!!!
Wishing you a restful day!
Stacey

Oh poor Shannon........ I feel for you doll!
The icky drains are reason #2 why I'm not ready for my TT yet. Reason #1 would be the last 20lbs. I can't get off because I can't make myself eat right.....but that's another story.
You're in the home stretch......just keep thinking of shopping for new clothes.....and shoes....and purses......
Have DH distract you somehow. I'm too much of a lady to say how on this board, but I'm sure you can think of something. Quit laughing, I am too a lady!
