2 hernias after TT

I had my TT with muscle repair in June.  I found out yesterday that I have 2 hernias.  The surgeon has to do it open,  will this ruin my TT?  I paid extra for the muscle tightening and went through all that pain.  I hate to think it was all for nothing.  Surgery is on the 30th.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
