adhesions after tummy tuck?

has anyone out there ever had issues with adhesions after a tummy tuck with muscle repair?  I have been having problems for about 2 months.  every time I eat I blow up like a balloon.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had REALLY bad adhesions to the point where I had a hard time standing straight.  I had a hernia that my local surgeon repaired but when he went in he said my adhesions were so bad that he had to remove them first before he could do my hernia repair.  I now have mess that measures 4 inches wide by 10 inches long.  I was suppose to only have 4 holes from my lap surgery but ended up with 10 holes because of all the repair he had to do from the adhesions.  He also had to release my belly button because it was also pulling really bad, which also caused me alot of pain.  He said it was from the open GB and from the extensive TT that I had.   But I don't remember bloating after eating so you might want to contact your GB surgeon and see what he/she has to say about the bloating.

Did you have muscle repair done with your TT?  My PS said it was impossible to have a hernia after muscle tightening.  But every doctor I have seen in the last 2 months has checked for a hernia because that is what it looks like.  After they check they don't seem to think it is a hernia.  I am having constipation issues a long with bloating an pain.  I have had almost any test you can think of and every thing has come back normal.  I have been referred to a surgeon because they think I have adhesions.  I had adhesion repair in '05 with the same symtoms.  My question is could I possibly have a hernia that is underneath the muscle repair?  The surgeon is supposed to do exploritory surgery so he will hopefully find the problem when he is in there.  Thanks for your help.  Did you notice we had surgery 1 day apart from each other? Yes I had a full anchor TT with muscle tightening.  I am cut from breast to pubic and hip to hip.  Quite the scar!   But I my tummy is VERY tight to this day, I was worried that after my adhesion removal and all that mesh and release of my belly button that it would ruin all the PS repair but I am fine! 

Well I must say that your PS doesn't know what he/she is talking about because I had my TT a year after my GB and I had hernia repair this past May and I currently have another one.  Have they checked your colon for twisting or partial collapse?  My surgeon found my hernia with ultrasound.  Just make sure you have a VERY good surgeon and that knows what is going on, is aware of your TT with muscle repair and your GB.

I have had xrays 3 CT's and a colonoscopy and a EGD.  I have not had an ultrasound.  All the CT's showed  was that I was constipated.  Which I could have told them.  Would a hernia show up in a CT?   The colonoscopy was normal and showed no adhesions or blockage.  of course that is only the inside of my colon. Thank you so much for your help.    Katherine
