Doctor Reccomendation?
Hello,
I was currently a patient of D. Zoe Deol down in Troy Beaumont and she has gotten a new job and will be moving to the chicago area soon. I found a LapBand Doctor in Owosso Dr. Tomitia but he's been nothing but a jerk to me, yet he was the only doctor who was willing to take me on as a patient. I'm no longer going to continue to see him as I don't think I should be treated like garbage with him...I'm looking for a doctor in the lansing/east lansing, jackson, ann arbor area. If anyone could reccomdend a doctor I would really appreciate it!
no i have not. i've called a doctor and lvm with them to call me back. but if i don't hear anything i'll definetly give them a call! it's just really hard trying to get them to accept me as a "transfer" patient. everyone else deined me and it took that stupid jerk 35 mintues to decide if he wanted to "be" my doctor or now
Hi there I live in Lansing and Sparrow took my insurance but the Surgeon didn't take my BCBS insurance because it was GM UAW BCBS...which made me laugh as Lansing is satuarated with GM employee's so they sent me to Dr. Tomitia he treated me very good....along with his staff and Sandy his nurse was awesome to me. I think I called her once a day for two months right up to the day of my surgery. They always had an answer for me no matter what my question was.....
I am very thankful that Dr. Tomitia did my surgery in 7 months I went from a size 22 to a size 10 by next week I will be in a size 8 I can't tell you the last time I wore a single digit size...
I don't know what happen to you and why you were treated bad but Dr. Tomitia is really a good Doctor infact he even game me his cell phone number to call after I came home from the hospital if I had any questions (which I did...lol) Maybe you two just got off on the wrong foot.
Jodie ....Wishing you the best of luck!!!
I've been to see him twice. Both times I've been treated no so nice, the last time was an issue because I've been having some small pain when i would move a certain way and also having some acid reflux, which he procceded to tell me that there must be something else wrong that my dr. didn't look at. I canceled my Upper GI with him because I didn't feel like I should be lectured or talked down to by someone who is suppose to be a doctor and help others. I'm glad that those who have had a positive experience with him, but for someone who was a transfer patient he sure isn't very friendly at all.
Hi,
Since you were going to Beaumont..you may want to be in that area. Dr. Gazyereli is a lapband doctor who also specializes in laproscopic hernia repair. His office is on Big Beaver near Crooks. He works out of St. Joe in Pontiac but does lapbands at Harper in Detroit.
I recently switched over to him after developing a hernia. He has a nice bedside manner. Office is efficient and always will get back with you. I also like the fact he gave me his cell number and called to check on me on a Sunday morning after returning home from a hernia repair.
