Jest go to her boss and tell them how you were treated. You are not locked in to any center  and ther are more every day.Once they see that the are loosing customers she will be history. You might want to talk to an nother center.Look ahead as  life will be better.Good luck. Stan Walker

Hi Tyra--I see Dr. Eric Straka MD in Canton. He is a sweetheart, very compassionate & WLS friendly. He is willing to do what it takes for the approval process. I even took him sample documentation for my office visits & he makes sure he follows it when he sees me. Erik Straka, MD (Partners in Internal Medicine) www.piim.org 734-981-3300 Good luck! Michele

I say DEFINITELY switch.  Not only for the WLS but just in general.  It took a year for me to find the doctor I have now and he is wonderful.  I need someone to listen, respect and talk to me as an ADULT, not a child. My Dr knew how hard I was working at losing weight and we sat down and had an HONEST talk about my health and he wanted to know what ideas I had to help.  He listened and when I mentioned WLS he told me to make sure I did my research on it and he would help me with anything I needed.  I wasn't looking for his approval, but it helped that I had his support.  I have finally made up my mind about having the surgery and he is behind me 100%.  He is in Southfield, his name is Michael White M.D, and his phone # is 248-354-9666.   Good luck in your search.
