Well yesterday  mornign I stopped by my new PCP office to get a copy of my EKG that they were suppose to send back in April. I faxed that over to Barix  as soon as I got home. A short while later  the billing dept  at Barix called and said they confirmed  that I am covered by my insurance... 80/20 and my $600 deductible is all paid. She said she thought my out of pocket was high...........$4600. I dont know about you guys but $4600 is  a bargain for this life changing experience. She said  I could make monthly payments which would be around $175.... NO PROBLEM. Then proceeds to tell me that if I am not scheduled until 2008 I might have to pay anothr deductible.... DAMN THE DIRTY LUCK! So she says she is going to call Tracy in scheduling to make sure she received my EKG so  they can get the doc to sign off on my chart and get me scheduled for this year. YEAH!!  Tracy in scheduling calls me about an hour later says she received my EKG and is going to give it to Dr, Schram to review and sign off on it on Monday, so I can get scheduled. So hopefully  by Wedneday at the latest I will know when  my PAT's and surgery is scheduled. Keeping my fingers crossed for last wek of November or first week of December.   Michele

Yay!!!!!  That is awesome.  I read a post that dr. schram is taking over dr. kam's patients so his calendar is going to be full soon.  if you can get in this year that would be a blessing.  keep us updated when you get your date. congrats.

Thanks. Well wouldnt you know that Dr.Schram's office called today while I was at a mandatory meeting for work. I tried calling when I got home and damn the dirty luck I was 2 minutes too late. I am gonna call first thing in the morning or I am gonna be glued to my phone like white on rice tomorrow. I want to be able to go to work on Thursday and say I am scheduled and start on my short term medical leave paperwork.
