Dr. Kam is all booked

For all those who had their initial consult with Dr. Kam, I spoke with Barix today and his last day at Barix is November 30 and he is all booked for November, so they reassigned me to Dr. Schram. I guess I will meet him when my PAT's are scheduled. For those of you who have had Dr. Schram whats he like.?? Michele

One word - friggin awesome!!!!  He is the most calming doctor you could have!

Michele, Dr Schram is wonderful.  He is very open and honest with his patients.  He did my surgery 6/13/06 and I couldnt be happier.  He was even willing to do my surgery "open" upon my request.  He even says a prayer with you prior to having you knocked out :) You'll like him I'm sure.. I can't imagine a reason not to be completely comfortable with him. Best of luck to you and rest assured youre in great hands! Kim

Thank you both for the input on Dr Schram, I also looked him up on this site too and read quite a few of his  patient reviews and there wre great reviews. I liked hearing that he says a prayer with his patients before surgery.   That is really awesome. You dont really hear of many doctors doing that.  Thanks again.  Michele

Same thing happened to me, Michele.  I've been assigned to Dr Kam for this entire year of waiting for approval.  Then, once my insurance officially approved me, Barix Clinics switched me to Dr. Schram.  So now my paperwork is BACK under review by my insurance.  ARGH!!!!!!!!!  If they knew Dr. Kam was leaving, then why wasn't I switched ahead of time to avoid this run around?????? But I do hear that Dr. Schram is awesome.  Good luck to you.
