i just wrote you back.  did you hear their version of Neil Young's For the Turnstiles on their myspace page? http://www.myspace.com/puttygutt   I love that song.  It's one of my favorite Neil Young tunes.  I really don't think it's the kind of music mel would like, she's not into jam band, bluegrass stuff but i think they sound like a lot of fun.  I'll bet it's a great live show. i have to check with some of my buddy's back in FL, it sounds like something they'd know.

Ahh, well.  I'll give a report.

Interested others, the band Puttygutt is playing at the Butcher's Inn at Eastern Market (Detroit) tonight starting at 8:30.  I haven't been there before, nor have I seen them so I don't know how it will be but y'all come.  The band sounds like punk bluegrass, although that is just my quick opinion.  I started by asking Jay because we have some odd musical tastes in common.
