3-4 Month Plateau?

Is it normal to have a plateau 3-4 months after surgery? I was under the impression that the first plateau typically hits around 5 months, but I've been gaining and losing the same 2-3 pounds for the last 3 weeks...

Your body is responding to what it thinks is starvation.  Perfectly normal, even at 3-4 months out.  I am now 1 year and a couple of weeks post-op and have been playing with the same 6-8 pounds for a couple of months now.  It's pretty frustrating.  I can get on the scale say, on Monday morning.  By Friday, it says I have gained those stupid 6 pounds for no apparent reason.  I try not to panic because I know all I have to do is bump up the fluids and protein, and try to get more exercise.   Don't worry, just be aware that it IS typical to hit plateaus periodically for no reason.  Stay with the program and be good to your pouch.  Good luck.
